As Neurospace has grown, I was promoted to the role of Chief Strategy Officer. This is primarily an extension of my previous role. Currently, NEUROSPACE GmbH is not only developing and offering our CubeSat based rovers, HiveR, to a number of organisations, we are also developing several mission that will fly to space within the next year. NEUROSPACE is a Berlin-based NewSpace company founded in 2020 by a group of experienced engineers in the fields of space engineering, software and physics. My role as CSO lies at the intersection of Engineering Design and Business Development. As of March, 2023, I have offically started at Neurospace GmbH in the role of Mission Manager. From January 2020, I have worked as an independent (freiberuflich) mechanical and aerospace engineer, providing support for the general aviation business in the Berlin-Brandenburg area. During this time, I performed roles involving and provided services with: - Structural analysis, focusing on analytical and CAD solutions using FEMAP and NX NASTRAN - Thermodynamics system design and analysis - Design conception and development - Aerodynamic flutter assessment - Aircraft modification certification - Team Lead and Project Management

Between June 2020 and February 2023, I worked as a Certification Engineer at Wingcopter GmbH. Wingcopter is a world leader in drone delivery technology, and is actively bringing delivery solutions to market via their unique tilt-rotor mechanism. I was involved in developing design documentation for the aircraft and in reviewing existing information in order to interface with both the EASA and the FAA. The goal of this work was to attain Certification for the aircrafts both in Europe and the USA. I was also focusing on: - Drawing Review and Documentation - Flight Manual Development - Maintenance Manual Development - Aircraft Development Certification Standards

Until moving to Germany, I was employed as a Mechanical Engineer (Level 1) working at Aurizon Holdings Limited. Aurizon, formerly QR National, is a top-50 ASX-listed company offering rail based freight transport and infrastructure solutions across Australia. The company has a solid foundation, established from more than 147 years of rail freight industry experience and is responsible for transporting more than $50 billion worth of Australian exports a year. I was employed in Wagon Engineering, working specifically on structural analysis. My main day-to-day tasks involved building models and running simulations in FEMAP and analysing them with NX Nastran. The main goal of this was to identify fatigue related stress issues and develop solutions to extend the life of components. I was also heavily involved in data acquisition and analysis to validate these models. This typically involved mounting strain gauges on specific components, monitoring the data remotely, then analysing it with nCode to compare it with FEA models.

As a graduate, I worked in a number of sections at Aurizon, including Locomotive Engineering, Structural Engineering, Engineering Common Components and Plant Engineering. While in Locomotives Engineering, I was involved with a diverse range of projects, ranging from designing limiting devices to assessing the compliance of our locomotives. As a result, I gained experience in a number of engineering disciplines such as project management, design development and engineering compliance In the Structures section, my main day-to-day tasks involved building models and running simulations in FEMAP and analysing them with NX Nastran. The main goal of this is to identify fatigue related stress issues and develop solutions to extend the life of components. These simulations would then be validated with strain-gauging and data assessment. I also spent time based in Rockhampton as part of the Engineering Common Components Section. This section was responsible for problem solving any issues with components that share commonality between locomotives and wagons, be it yokes, coupler or bogies. I was involved in work on the reliability of our knuckles, modifications to our locomotives and troubleshooting a range of issues with yokes, couplers and draw barsFinally, my first rotation was spent in Plant Engineering, which provides procurement and engineering support to the Specialised Track Services Group's track maintenance and construction plant fleet, as well as procurement support for freight handling. There I was involved in a range of projects including the procurement of plant, the certification/registration of vehicles and the design of braking and structural systems for light On Track Vehicles.

As part of my Masters thesis I completed a CEED placement at Mineral Technologies. During this placement I liaised with government organisation “Corporate Partners”, as well as the manufacturing staff and engineering team at Mineral Technologies. The focus of my work was to advise and report where Mineral Technologies could implement “Lean Manufacturing” techniques into their Gold Coast based manufacturing plant.

During my work at Fruition I tutored grade ten and eleven students in the fields of Maths A, B and C. I filled this position on a friend’s advisement while taking a gap period of six months.

As part of completing my Bachelor of Engineering degree I was required to complete 60 days of industry practice. I completed these concurrent to my final year of university studies. At Lend Lease I worked with the Services Engineering Department; chasing installation parts/equipment for Lend Lease’s Supreme Court construction project. I also assisted in Document Control; transporting, updating and filing technical drawings.
