Originally I started off as a Front Desk Agent. I was responsible for checking guest in and out, keeping work area clean and organized and help keep the property at 4 diamond status. I was responsible for checking guest in and out, keeping work area clean and organized and help keep the property at 4 diamond status. After a year and a half I was transferred to the reservation dept. as Reservations Agent where I was I am responsible for making reservations in-house, as well as inputting reservations from third party internet booking. Being in the position is where I really began to grow my interest in the Revenue Area. So after about another 2 years later I was promoted to Reservations Supv. which I where I began to be more hands on w/ the Revenue Dept. I was responsible for making reservations in-house, as well as inputting reservations from third party internet booking, building all room rates in Opera as well as on Synxis. I am also responsible for doing billing for all corporate meetings, assist in developing packages & breakdowns, keeping up with daily report i.e., Transient booking pace, Monthly Phone Logs. I also, attend weekly Revenue Meetings. Keep track of house count and overall room availability on a daily basis for proper documentation/history. In 2011, I was promoted to Rooms Control Supv. I become more responsible for building all room rates in Opera as well as on Synxis. Also creating groups in our newest group booking system, Passkey. I am also continued to do billing for all corporate meetings, assist in developing packages and breakdowns, keeping up with daily reporting i.e., STR reporting. I also assisted with our Central reservations team & making sure they have all the necessary information for making reservations. Now adding Accounts Receivable to my position this year (March 2013), in addition to continuing my role as Rooms Control Supv. I am not only responsible for what goes on the front end; I’ve become responsible for what goes on, on the back end as well.
