Designed and taught courses in Philosophy with a particular focus on Critical Thinking. Researched and incorporated CLA in the Classroom, Service Learning, Information Literacy, and Inquiry-Guided Learning into courses. Carried out scholarly research, involving publication, editing, translations, and conference presentations, both in Philosophy and in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.Served on a number of committees and boards, including the Faculty Senate, the Quality Enhancement Plan Writing Committee, the Fine Arts Series committee, the Collegiate Learning Assessment Workgroup, and CAS Academic Affairs Committee. Wrote sections of the 10-year Quality Enhancement Plan required for SACS reaccreditation, "Making Evidence Based Decisions"
