Aog (Aircraft On Ground) Department SupportAirbus Defence & Space Feb 2015 - Feb 2016Madrid Area, SpainProcedure and performance analysis for developing new standardization and improvement measures within the three divisions of the AOG department. Definition, management and monitoring of the results of these measures. I started learning the internals of the department, supporting day to day AOG desk workload. Handling clients' orders, their spare parts, shipping them to customers and keeping track of the progress. I did all this in all three divisions of AOG department: Medium and Light, MRTT and A400M, to be able to establish common denominators and understand idiosyncrasies of the these departments. After that, I started attending LEAN trainings and participating in introducing LEAN procedures such as a SQCDP Panel, designing and reviewing KPIs. I also participated in PPSs and Kaizen meetings with other departments.I've designed and written several BRDs (Business Requirements Documents) for the improvement of different systems and tools used in a day to day basis by the department. -
Special Final Major ProjectDepartment Of Materials And Aerospace Production - Etsia Jul 2014 - Jul 2015Madrid Area, Spain"Designing, modeling and monitoring a bi-stable composite airfoil"Morphing structures are structures that can adjust their properties to perform optimally under different operational conditions. Specifically composite materials are a good alternative for morphing aircrafts.Bi-stable composites are structures capable of adopting two statically stable configurations. Bi-stability arises in unsymmetrically laminates due to an induced stress field resulting from a mismatch between the thermal expansion coefficients of the fiber and the matrix during cool down after curing. In the project I will be modeling and producing a bistable composite airfoil with ABAQUS, studying both bi-stable shapes, snap-through and snap-back forces. A piezoelectric plate (MFC) will be used to activate the airfoil which will be monitored with fiber optic sensors (FBGs).
