The SOPHOS DEI Chair leads various educational trainings, seminars, and discussions to build tolerance amongst the general members, as well as serves as a supplemental selections chair for both PRIMUS Freshman Honorary and SOPHOS Sophomore Honorary. They also coordinate with the Philanthropy Chair to plan socially responsible philanthropic events and seek opportunities for SOPHOS to remain inclusive on campus.

The Arizona Ambassadors CCP is the liaison between the new semester's incoming class of campus tour guides, ambassadors executive board, and visitors services administration. They advocate for the new cohorts and ensures that they are provided with all the necessary recourses to succeed during campus tours.

The PRELUDES Philanthropy Chair dedicates their time to planning weekly volunteer events for the membership, as well as planning PRELUDES Pick-Up, the annual philanthropy event. All proceeds go to the Florence Project, a Tucson non-profit providing free legal and social services to detained adults and children under the threat of deportation.

As a congressional intern at the office of Congressman Ruben Gallego, I partook in constituent services (phone calls, mail, and tour booking), press release translation, and legislative work. I dedicated my internship research to assist primarily in the health and immigration portfolios by attending briefings and hearings, reviewing sign-on's, and writing memos and other research documents for staffers.

This position focused on initiatives in housing and food security. Some intern roles included:- Developing a National Housing Loan Fund Addendum, which lists a variety of housing investment funds throughout the country.- Developing a Housing Promising Practices Addendum, which lists a variety of innovative housing initiatives throughout the country ranging from accessory dwelling units and legislation. - Developing a document outlining the new SNAP work-reporting requirements for older adults between the ages of 50 and 54, and the possible health implications of the change. - Attending webinars on improving employee morale while continuing to keep organizations thriving. Lessons learned were shared at employee meetings for further discussion and feedback.- Working with partners, from assisting at grantee learning sessions to visiting partner sites.

Gold Medal teaches swimmers from ages 3 months to older adults! Instructors teach life saving skills through the five foundational pillars (body position, air regulation, propulsion, relaxation, and safety), helping new swimmers go from minimal water exposure to perfecting technique for all four strokes.Coaches teach recreational swim teams for people who wish to continue their swimming journeys after completing the Learn to Swim program, helping transition them into the competitive swim club through swimming meets.
