I am an attorney at Bishop | Barry, a mid-size firm in the San Francisco Bay area. I hold an AV peer review rating from Martindale. Since 1983, I have focused on insurance coverage and bad faith matters. At the outset of my career, I was very fortunate to represent an insurer in a coordinated action involving three asbestos manufacturers and their insurers which was tried in six phases in the Superior Court of San Francisco. In this action, presided over by the formidable Judge Ira Brown, the leading insurance coverage attorneys in the U.S. litigated numerous issues involving the existence and extent of insurance for the manufacturers for the asbestos suits filed against them. Thereafter, I represented insurers in additional complex matters involving insurance for claims for asbestos bodily injury, asbestos building products and defective siding. In addition to my experience in matters involving CGL policies, I have also been assisting insurers with coverage issues under trucking, cargo, auto, homeowner and personal excess policies.
