Becky has over nine years of consulting experience as a freshwater and terrestrial ecologist combined with just under four years’ experience as a project manager in the electronic technology sector. Becky specialises in project management, aquatic resource surveys, compliance monitoring, ecological values assessments, assessments of effects and offset assessments for clients across the public and private sectors. Rebecca has also worked alongside Iwi to apply Matauranga Māori (Cultural Health Index) for evaluating water quality from a Māori perspective. Becky has considerable experience in various industries including land development, mining, agricultural, central and local government, quarrying and clean fill, industrial, pulp and paper and power. Rebecca has extensive experience in land development projects in the Auckland and Waikato Regions, including leading the ecology for a number of plan changes across Auckland. Becky has also acted as an ecological reviewer on behalf of Council.Becky is a practitioner of the Stream Ecological Valuation (SEV) method and has applied the method to determine biodiversity offsets. She is a trained electric fishing machine operator and undertaken fish surveys and fish relocations across New Zealand. Becky is experienced in Geographic information systems (GIS) and data analysis using multivariate and univariate techniques.Becky also specialises in terrestrial ecology where her experience spans restoration and planting plans, vegetation assessments such as bush and wetland assessments (including assessments of significance against relevant council criteria), plant and animal pest management plans, fauna surveys (birds, bats and lizards) and New Zealand falcon nest searches and tracking. Rebecca has also determined terrestrial biodiversity offsets.

Communicating and collaborating with external customers as needed with regard to: project deliverables, support and new features for multiple projects, across all project phases. Working collaboratively with the development team and guiding them using an Agile management style (Scrum).Participating in the design and development of new products and features.

Terrestrial ecologist undertaking fieldwork and generating reports for vegetation health monitoring projects, covenant plans for various district councils and ecological assessments.Involved in all aspects of freshwater sampling including the collection of habitat, invertebrate, periphyton and fish data in small and large waterways throughout New Zealand. Also trained in the Stream Ecological Valuation (SEV) method. Involved in NZ native falcon monitoring projects, and hydrology projects.

Responsible for fieldwork and production of formal reports under RDC guidelines for the following areas: - Significant Enhancement Restoration Plans;- Wetland Assessments and Restoration Plans;- Bush Assessments;- Plant and Animal Pest Management Plans;- Customised variations of the aboveAlso worked within the nursery, including eco-sourcing plant seed and raising native plants.
