Coordinates programming at Waycross in collaboration with year-round staff, summer staff, and Waycross volunteers. This includes managing Waycross summer camp, developing and growing anoutdoor education program, and creating new programs throughout the year.

Developed and led educational and interpretive public programs and K-12 field trips that connectedindividuals to the estuary with a focus on coastal wetland ecology and marine science. Supported teacher training workshops, including Teachers on the Estuary (TOTE). Organized special events including a Sustainable Fishing Contest and a Coastal Clean Up. Maintained and developed passive educational displays, aquariums and signage. Conducted monitoring protocol of invasive Asian Shore Crabs, Tiger Beetles, and migrating songbirds. Designed flyers, t-shirts and signage to promote public appreciation and stewardship of the Narragansett Bay Estuary.

Developed and taught environmental education programs aboard watercraft. Performed field activities including trawling, plant and animal identification, and snorkeling, assisted in various departmental research initiatives, including wild dolphin dorsal fin identification, harmful algal bloom monitoring, water quality sampling, and fish and invertebrate population monitoring. Completed daily and weekly eco-vessel set-up, clean up, and facilitation of programming.

Led a team of 6 young adults in full-time, residential community service program that meets critical needs in the areas urban and rural development and environmental conservation. Supervised team, facilitated team meetings and enforced rules and regulations. Coordinated logistics with the project sponsor and managed the team’s budget. Prepared weekly reports, project reports, and evaluations.

Provided exceptional customer service to outdoor adventure trip participants. Planned and executed biking, hiking, paddling, and camping trips. Ensured a safe, fun, inclusive and welcoming experience for participants. Collaboratively planned and facilitated adventure experiences.

Ensured camper safety by transporting campers in 15 passenger vans and lifeguarding swim and water sports activities, made sure safety rules were always observed. Planned morning and evening worship and led music team. Facilitated camp activities including crafts and environmental education. Assisted with daily facility needs including washing dishes, bathroom cleaning, trash removal. Professionally painted over 40 cabins. Hauled over 3 tons of decking material by hand with a team. Deep cleaned every building. Collected and responsibly burned fallen trees and brush on property.
