I guess you could say that I’ve grown up with the Internet. I’ve loved it. I’ve hated it. I’ve fought with it. And I’ve succeeded with it. In 1997, I taught myself HTML and never looked back. By 2000, I was CEO of an internet company. In those early days, there were no tools, solutions or service providers. Everything that the business needed had to be created, so I spent the first few years of my career building a world class team to create the digital tools and services we needed to function and grow. We specialized in technology to track commerce events for thousands of vendors over hundreds of products.We were tracking an immense amount of data, pushing the very limits of what software was capable of at the time. We were very early adopters of PHP and put the language through such a stress test that the creators were working directly with my developers to develop it into what it is today. This work developed in me a scrappy, bootstrapping, problem-solving mindset that still serves me well today. I have founded and scaled technology companies, including software and ecommerce businesses, to teams of 30+ people and annual revenues of nine figures. I have experience in leading organizational strategy, developing and implementing processes, and ensuring operational efficiency from the ground up.
