Receives, distributes, and manages inventory supplies and surgical instruments. Maintains Amkai purchasing software. Writes and maintains department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Directs staff on department operations and ensuring adherence to all standards and recommended processes. Performs continuing education and competencies with staff in accordance with AAMI, AORN, OSHA and AAAHC. Conducts performance evaluations with staff. Collaborates with department managers to improve processes via Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) methodology. Assesses capital budget needs, negotiates contracts, and purchases approved assets. Performs quality assurance tracers to ensure compliance with regulations.
