Role highlights:• Supported General Counsel through 2021 acquisition by SPAC (Churchill Capital II) and merger with Skillsoft. • Advancement of department integration while delivering legal support as the sole remaining attorney supporting Global Knowledge North American sales and business operations.• Owner of Legal Department organization, processes, and KPIs.• Substantive practice, to include: • Supervision of outside counsel (employment litigation, trademark portfolio, OFAC issues, etc.).• Handling of US EEOC and Department of Labor matters.• Authoring of North American sales, vendor, and subcontractor contract templates. Examples include Non-Disclosure Agreements, Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, Data Processing Agreements, Channel and Partner Agreements, and Vendor Agreements • Supporting data privacy and information security worldwide committee, drafting website and corporate policies, and advising on GDPR, CCPA, etc.• Performing restricted party screenings and advisement on and implementation of compliance programs.• Management of GSA contract and handling annual report filings and audits.• Lead counsel contact for the FED/SLED government teams.• Lead counsel contact for Channel contract support and program advisement.• Lead counsel contact for Content Provider/Learning Partner contract support and program advisement. • Lead counsel contact for Product and Marketing contract support and program advisement, including Request for Pricings submissions, and HR, Tax, and Finance department support and advisement.• Lead counsel contact for subcontractor vendor management contracts and advisement. • Support to IT, business processes, and stakeholder teams for vendor audits.• Management of department staff and spearheading an ongoing law student externship program

• Highest vote recipient in Judicial District special election resulting in consideration for appointment by Governor Cooper.• Candidate for November 2018 General Election (lost by approx. 2% of the vote).• Candidate for March 2019 primary.

• First chair representation and case management in matters of Juvenile Abuse, Neglect, and Dependency, Guardianship, Adoption, Domestic Violence, Child Support, Child Custody, Alimony, Equitable Distribution, Alienation of Affection, Criminal Conversation, and other similar torts, Separation Contract drafting, negotiation, and dispute resolution, and Divorce. This representation included emergency relief litigation, traditional timeline litigation, mediations, settlement conferences, negotiations, discovery, appeals, and proceedings before the Clerk.• Second Chair representation and management of partner cases in all aspects of family law practice, including contract drafting, litigation, and client management.
