For over 15 years I have worked in Lease Administration within the energy industry. My experience includes analyzing contracts and leases, researching ownership, heirship, and chain of title, creating and maintaining records and digital data, and tracking financial information. I am currently the Lease Technician for Coterra Energy, where, in addition to the above, I prepare and process documents for county, state, and federal filing with entities such as the BLM and BIA.The way data is processed has changed dramatically over the past few decades, and I am proud to say I have both assisted with and led projects to streamline and digitize data. Data storage and retrieval is more important than ever before, so helping companies transition from Excel tables to SQL reports to AI applications such as ThoughtTrace has been a crucial part of my role. I utilize data analytics tools for faster, more accurate reports, especially when dealing with large data sets. As the digital landscape changes I am also excited to learn what new technology is on the horizon.
