The resulting, focused business improvements reduced waste. - I have implemented continuous improvements in financial and operational processes to aid financial management, and as a result no audit issues have been raised since I joined the charity in 2007. - I developed a short and medium-term cash management process, to maintain and maximise liquidity. The process proactively changed employee culture with all expenditure, questioned before being placed. - Implemented bottom-up budgeting where the senior management team accepted their personal responsibility to deliver the targets implicit in the budget. - Implemented a new investment and reserves policy, maximising revenue and capital growth whilst limiting market exposure. The value of the charity’s portfolio is Β£3.0m and is currently providing a return of 6% per annum.
