Having worked in the charity and non-for-profit sectors for over 5 years I have helped a lot of people with additional barriers to work gain better education, volunteering and employment opportunities. During this time I worked with people with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, addiction and other hidden disabilities and saw how so many services were group and location orientated and therefore, unintentionally, excluding people with these types of conditions.I set up Practical Matters to continue helping people with hidden disabilities but to ensure that everyone can access the services provided no matter their situation. By providing one-to-one individualised suport with volunteering, employability skills, finding apropriate training courses and other beneficial support I have been able to help people that otherwise would not have received any help with their situation.Practical Matters has now expanded it's services to include employer consultancy by supporting employers to hire people with hidden disabilities, support current employees, assist with Access to Work applications and workplace adaptations and anything else to support employers and employees. If you would like to have a chat, get to know me or ask questios about Practical Mateers services then please do get in touch.I look forward to talking with you.
