I am currently working on four bi-monthly titles which are part of the parenting umbrella at The Chelsea Magazine Company. Little London is an extension from this, offering an excellent read for those with a family in the capital, with children aged up to ten.My role on these titles, as the Managing Editor, encompasses a variety of responsibilities, which have to be executed effectively and efficiently. These responsibilities include:- Working alongside the Editor to maintain a high editorial standard in the magazines and digital platforms - Managing the production process of all four magazines - Ensuring all magazines go to print successfully and within the given time constraints - Preparing and updating flat plans each cycle - Working closely with the art department to ensure the design and editorial work harmoniously- Liaising daily with freelance journalist, including commissioning of features - Working closely with the sales department - Writing content for the magazines - Sub editing and proofing articles- Involvement in our online presence, including social media platforms Show less

Little Media was a regional publishing company who produced three 228 page parenting magazines which made up The Baby Series; Baby London; Baby Hampshire; and Baby Surrey. While at this company I was a key part of the small team, working as the Editor across all three titles. My role, encompassed a variety of responsibilities, which had to be self-managed effectively and efficiently. These responsibilities included:- Writing and editing articles for Baby London, Baby Surrey and Baby Hampshire magazines- Preparing flat plans each cycle- Liaising daily with freelance journalist, including the commissioning of articles - Planning and writing advertorials, dealing with international/national brands with high-profile clients on a daily basis- Compiling the monthly E-Newsletters, this includes designing, writing and sourcing all the content. This is utilised by email marketing software, Create/Send- Editing and initial proofreading of contributors’ editorial copy- Updating, managing and writing editorial content across consumer websites and corporate website.
