As Global Head of People Communications @ SAP, I am forging the future of employee-guided communications by applying a social business model to scale our employee influencer network and reach a potential of 4bn social accounts. As a key driver of change, employee communications must hear and amplify over 100,000 employees and deal with a wide range of communications and information-based challenges and opportunities. I am passionate about developing sustainable practices, adopting a crisis confident culture, and equipping future generations with an interactive set of digital skills.   Corporate Communicators have the responsibility of helping employees to be heard in a safe and constructive way. We must be listeners, facilitators, protectors. We are a conduit, responsible for enabling the channels, creating and facilitating the environment for people to share. Importantly, we motivate employees to help shape and be aligned with the brand.   My passions, in addition to excellence in communication, include corporate social responsibility, sustainable business strategy and creating the right balance between humans and digital devices for the future. This includes treating coding as another language which all schoolchildren have a right to be fluent in.
