A Nurse with 25 years of working with children and their families. I have supported families in their own homes, having been trained in a wide variety of medical equipmentI have worked on the wards of hospitals giving the care and time a family needs when their child is admitted.I have a keen interest in bereavement care and appointed myself as the children's bereavement link nurse forging partnerships with local charities and other professionals.I have actively sought out training for myself in this field.I want to do more than just be clinical I want to support and make sure each family has the care they deserve so they feel heard and that their opinion matters.For the last 2.5years I have also become a Lullaby Trust befriender which is something I am immensely proud of and enjoy. Before qualifying as a Nurse I have worked my way up from being a Nanny, to being a Children's Community Clinical Support Worker. I know what hard work looks like and not afraid to rise to a new challenge. Open to offers in taking my career forward.I have experience with: tracheostomies, enteral feeding, cough assist, hickman lines, porta cath, PICC Line, suctioning, seizure management.Leadership of running an assessment ward, patient management and liaising with other members of a multi disciplinary team.
