I am an assistant teacher in education. I have been a substitute in the past as well. I assist EC kids in the academic career. I want to mentor kids with disabilities so they can have a fighting chance to succeed in whatever it is they want to do even though their physical ability may be limited, they are not. Day care and school education seemed to have the same classes involved. This was how I ended up in day care, however I know this just a stepping stone for what I was created to be. For my purpose of life and being torn between the hearing world and the Deaf world, I believe I was chosen to be the bridge that connects them both with communication and understanding. I grew up with sign language and I've learned how the signs changes over time as progress changes. I want to be a part of the progress that changes the future for the better and considers everyone as an equal. Just because an individual is born different doesn't mean we should rule them out. There was a reason why they were born that way and it is up to us to help them find it. I don't want them to go through the hurt, pain, and disappointment of never being able to be what you want to be as I experienced that same sadness growing up. If we can make the world happier, why not? After all it takes a whole village to raise a child, any child, faults and all.
