I investigate the social and environmental impacts of China's economic activity in Latin America, focusing particularly on trade and foreign investment.I serve as project manager for for the book-length "China's Global Reach" project, co-authoring two chapters as well as overseeing the workflow of authors in eight countries. I have also developed the China-Latin America Bulletin, an annual analysis of trends in this important, burgeoning relationship.

As a research associate, my work focused on bringing statistics to life, discovering and illustrating the human stories hidden in economic data.I coordinated and wrote the Latin American Data Bytes, a series of brief analytic pieces explaining official data releases from Latin American governments and multilateral organizations. I also regularly contributed to CEPR briefing papers. The most relevant are listed in the publications section, below.
