As part of my Heritage in the Field unit at Deakin University, I completed a comprehensive research project on the history and cultural heritage significance of the former maritime site of Princes Pier, Port Melbourne. The outcome was a 5000 word research paper and a series of interpretive panels on Princes Pier, currently on display at Port Melbourne Library. Throughout my project I consulted with key stakeholders, including City of Port Phillip Heritage and Culture Team Leader, Team Leader of Arts and Festivals, Curator, Collections Manager, President of the Port Phillip Heritage and Historical Society, Local History Librarian, Place Manager for Port of Melbourne and former mayor, Janet Bolitho.

I undertook an internship in the Public Programs department at Melbourne Museum. My brief was to review their current Touch Trolley program in relation to its applicability for children aged 3-8 and to scope and plan a new Touch Trolley on the theme of 'Fun & Games' for the 19th Century Little Lon Exhibit in the Melbourne Story Gallery. In the History and Technology Department I worked on transcribing a collection of WW1 and WW2 war journals and letters for an online WW1 and WW2 internet project. The documents I worked with were primary sources and needed to be handled with great care. I worked under the supervision of Senior Curator Deborah Tout-Smith.

Tutoring recently arrived asylum seeker women from Myanmar.

Editor of Rabelais student magazine. Working with a team of three other editors to commission content, plan, create and deliver a monthly colour magazine with relevant content for students at La Trobe University.
