Administrative o Communicated Peace Corps policies and staff’s expectations to 38 volunteers and government officials in person and through writing. Conducted focus groups, researched and analyzed data from participatory community meetings.• Training and Capacity Building - Planned and implemented six term cycles of professional development meetings for 20 teachers in computers and technology, classroom management, improved teaching practices, monitoring and evaluation, and mentored incoming Peace Corps Volunteers and supported staff in facilitating pre-service training for 35 new volunteers.• Grant Writing - Wrote and oversaw implementation of three successful grants totaling $26,000; one for a week-long Girls Empowerment Camp, another for construction of a classroom block for a rural community school and training of teachers, and one for a provincial health education and HIV prevention program. • Project Management - Coordinated and issued report with local schools to survey attitudes towards education and design projects to target concern areas accordingly. Advised on school and community activities to maintain budget and time to complete infrastructure project.• Monitoring and Evaluation - Assisted to develop a measurement and evaluation tool for implementation of the Rural Education Development Program throughout the country as a member of the Project Advisory Committee. • Teaching and Curriculum Development - Instructed early childhood education classes, contributed to development and presentation of lessons on variety of topics, mentored teachers in best practices and arranged new curriculum to target state goals for appropriate age group• Group Management - Managed data on individual students in school database. Analyzed data to create individual and group action plans.
