As an Intervention Specialists I lead school teams in writing, implementing and evaluating Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, which include a wide range of teaching materials and supports to help students learn. I am a member of the Instructional Leadership Team, The Intervention Assistance Team and Co-Chair of the Positive School Culture Team.

The Family Advisory Council at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center incorporates the thoughts, perspectives and opinions of families into decisions regarding the DDBP. As a council, we are able to enhance our ability to provide family-centered care. We discuss pending decisions, initiatives and other hospital-wide concerns and provide input from the family perspective. Council members have influenced the design of the Liberty Campus and our building at 3430 N. Burnet Ave. We are also regularly involved with processes and plans to improve the quality and accuracy of care provided.

I assist kids with disabilities, and their families, transitioning from High School into post-secondary education, work, living arrangements and more. My goal is to cross categorically grow the employment rates for individuals with disabilities in our district, across the city, and ultimately, the nation by directly instructing students on employability and self-advocacy skills. I want to empower students with knowledge, provide authentic experiences through work study and a help them develop a future plan to follow as they exit High School.
