Hello! I'm Becca. My passion for nutrition stems from a fascination for the connections between food systems, environmental health, and human health. I believe in the concept of food as medicine and in the healing power of plants, which is why I seek to become a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS).I've learned quickly that the field of nutrition is incredibly multifaceted and ever-evolving. Albeit daunting, the knowledge I've gained is empowering. Through my academic, research, and work experiences thus far, I've developed an understanding of the biopsychosocial and cultural factors in food behavior as well as an appreciation for the complexity of human relationships with food.As I further my education in nutrition, I look forward to discovering more about the roles of regenerative agriculture, plant-based nutrition, and medical nutrition therapy in the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases.
