Interested in the simulation of building energy demand for building design and operation. Have developed a methodology for generation of synthetic plug loads and lighting (https://github.com/EECi/FDA-for-BES) and am the lead developer on the Greenhouse Energy Simulation project (https://github.com/EECi/GES).

Carrying out a thermal and ventilation analysis of the Engineering Department buildings

Research project investigating the simulation of carbon emissions arising from energy use in the buildings at the Royal Botanic Gardens (RBG), Kew. The simulations included analytical physics-based models of the glasshouses together with quasi-steady state and transient dynamic analysis of the buildings. The models have been used to investigate the retrofit potential for the building fabric and design and optimisation of energy supply systems for clusters of buildings within the site. The research is being performed with the support of the Estates Management at RBG Kew, and will contribute to future business decisions. The fellowship involved a substantial training element, particularly in the science of building physics, carbon-efficient energy supply technologies, the legislative framework relating to carbon emissions and the use of building simulation packages for analysis of building thermal performance, together with training courses specific to the fellowship on presentation skills, media and PR skills, work-life balance and professional skills..

Responsible for project management, technical analysis and quality assurance from initial contact with the client to the final report submission and completion.
