Working as part of the Youth and Family Team within the targeted youth support service, I specialise in working with young people aged 12 - 17. My work focuses on assessing and reducing extra-familial risk including supporting young people at risk of exploitation, at imminent risk of homelessness, impacted by poor mental health or exhibiting harmful aggressive or sexual behaviours.My practice is relationship based, trauma informed, child centred and strengths based. I work in partnership with young people; listening to their stories and goals for the future. By working in strategic partnership with other professionals and agencies, I work to promote safety, well-being and positive life outcomes.

I successfully completed Step-Up to Social Work graduate retraining programme with ARU. Cohort 7. Placements included Targeted Youth Support and Family Safeguarding (Child Protection)

Working as part of the National OFS Uni Connect Project- working collaboratively to put schools, students and our community at the centre of our approach to closing the gap in Higher Education participation.

My job is all about supporting young people to explore their options and discover their potential through Higher education. The Network for East Anglian Collaborative Outreach (neaco) is the largest of the HEFCE funded National Collaborative Outreach Programmes (NCOP) who are delivering the ‘Take Your Place’ project across Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. I am the operational lead for Cambridgeshire based with ARU. I lead a team who are based in schools and colleges. The ultimate aims of the project are to work with young people from identified ‘gaps wards’ to support them and those around them to have high aspirations for their futures and to overcome their barriers (real or perceived) to accessing higher education (level 4 qualification or above).

I am currently Managing the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Collaborative Outreach Network based at lead institution, ARU. The National Networks for Collaborative Outreach ( NNCO) scheme aims to encourage more young people into higher education.
