Seasonal Work. This role involves taking overall responsibility of staff and lifeguard unit. I am responsible for promotion of first aid, dealing with a range of diverse situations, and communicating with the general public of many cultures and religions.I ensure that all equipment is maintained at a high standard, enforcing bylaws and working alongside emergency services to ensure a safe environment for the public. Training and fitness takes a key role, as it has to be at a high standard. A smart appearance and professional manner is essential to maintain the reputation of the charity.

My duties involve assisting all qualified nursing staff in patient care. Maintaining high standards of customer service is of upmost importance within this private hospital. Duties include ensuring bed areas are kept to a high standard of cleanliness to prevent infection control and assist with all patient care needs. This has improved my commination and customer service skills. I have changed bedding and ensured that bathrooms are frequently cleaned. I have also spent a lot of time in the kitchen helping with food preparations, delivering food to the patients and tidying up after meals. Due to it being a private hospital expectations are high.

Working as part of a team to keep the store operating smoothly and efficiently, was a crucial part of this role. My position required me to interact with customers, providing style advice and assistance and maximising product sales. During my time at Zara I was able to develop my visual merchandising skills and be responsible for maintaining the shop floor and clothing display standards. I underwent stocktaking training and was responsible for deliveries, pricing, online orders, working on the store’s computer management system and within the stockroom.

Working in this position gave me experience with the general public, stocktaking, computer skills, till operation and how to cash-up at the end of each shift. I worked on my own and as part of a team; this taught me valuable communication skills and responsibility.
