As the Women Veteran Program Manager at VA Butler Healthcare, I oversee the system-wide Women's Health program, which involves technical writing, cervical and breast cancer research, data management, staff education, vendor management, and budget and finance oversight. I have a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Nursing, both with a focus on Healthcare Management, from Carlow University.I have 11 years of clinical and research experience in healthcare, spanning oncology, critical care, and education. I have managed project teams for over 25 studies at a time, including trials for various cancer treatments and interventions. I have also served as a clinical nursing instructor at Carlow University and an adjunct instructor at CCAC, teaching undergraduate nursing students. I am passionate about improving the quality and safety of healthcare services, and I have contributed to several initiatives and publications in this area, such as the hospital-wide Magnet designation at UPMC and the Women's Health Newsletter at the VA.
