La Jolla International Fashion Film Festival is the first international fashion film festival founded in North America, and is home to the International Fashion Film Awards (the IFFAS). An invitation only event, this year's festival features the world's first social action through fashion film forum with guests Paloma Diaz Soloaga and Tsailii Rogers. A screening director, Rebecca is honored to also be an awards presenter at the 9th annual La Jolla International Fashion Film Festival.

The NIFF film festival is a showcase and celebration of film narratives, stories and the inspiration and awareness gained from them. NIFF brings together inspirational and society-conscious films from around the world, and provides a platform for the Nepali and American audiences to watch them and be inspired, motivated.

Rebecca was elected to the WIFV board of directors for three consecutive terms beginning in 2011, including two years as President 2015-17. Following her term as President, she served as the advisory committee liaison. Highlights from her tenure as President include the Washington DC Mayor’s Arts Award for Excellence in Service to the Arts, and the inaugural Seed Fund grants for documentary filmmakers. As President, she utilized Taproot Foundation to supplement board resources for the Information Management Program, including a data retention implementation plan and online board portal. In her first term on the board, she executed the marketing plan for the Women in Film & Television International Summit (WIFTI), an international conference hosted by WIFV in Washington, DC, drafted the WIFV social media policy and implemented Hootsuite for social media management, along with serving on the Women of Vision selection committee that honored Academy award winner Agnieszska Holland, Shirin Ghareeb, Margaret Parsons, and Christine Weber, emceed by Fox 5 News Gwen Tolbart. In her second term as Executive Vice President, she simplified the compensation procedure from a multi-page manual to a single template for the Executive Director, and facilitated board approval of a data retention policy, and standardized employee handbook. For WIFV’s 35th Anniversary, she utilized LinkedIn for Board Connect to source professionals for the Anniversary Advisory Committee to help with public relations, financial management, and anniversary logo design. She is also a proud member of the Spotlight on Screenwriters reading committee, an initiative founded and created by advisory committee member Monica Lee Bellais, the Randy Goldman scholarship committee funded by past presidents and the Seed Fund committee.

Core team member for Spend Smart (corporate fiscal responsibility program); achieved $15MM savings for Verisign. Developed the Work Smart - IT campaign and end-user adoption program for 1000+ employees and contractors. Rolled out Windows OS upgrades and deployed Macs to 1000+ users.

Vendor management, 5000+ corporate lines of service, and support of telecom developers, i.e. American Idol text-to-vote and Jamba ring tones. Led cross-functional teams for Telco supplier integration activities, including Financial Systems, Treasury, Accounting and Tech teams as part of acquisition activities.

Managed Verisign-owned property including oversight of operational activity and service requests related to datacenter maintenance at Dallas, Texas and subsequently, Reston, Virginia sites. Supported facilities and security shutdown of Dallas, Texas, office location.
