Worked as a design engineer on St. Louis Metrolink (Light Rail) Extension. Collaborated with a team of engineers in the design of steel girders, pre-stressed concrete girders, piers and abutments on six bridges. Reconfigured an existing steel through-girder bridge to change from a single-track freight rail use to a double-track light rail configuration. Designed new abutments, stringers and deck, and checked existing girder strength. Performed a rigorous quality assurance/quality control procedure on all design work to ensure accuracy and effective design practices.Performed initial analysis on highway and light rail design projects for design and man hour projections.
