I spearheaded the Costa Rica MLS project – the first true, country-wide, functional MLS system – to create a more efficient and transparent real estate network that will not only help my fellow agents, but also buyers and sellers to understand what properties are worth.I was born to a Costa Rican-USA bicultural, bilingual family in Chicago. I was raised in Buffalo, NY, and later graduated from Arizona State University. I am a dual citizen (Costa Rica & USA) and I am fluent in Spanish, thanks both to my “Tica” (Costa Rican) mother’s influence and my own Spanish studies in Costa Rica before college.I am an active investor and real estate developer, having sold out a 21-lot development in a gated community – in just five months. I am now developing two more projects: Punta Playa Heights, a 16-unit condominium development; and Plaza Mar Azul, a 12-unit commercial project in highly competitive Playa Flamingo.I am the host of Purchasing in Paradise, a new reality TV show on YouTube that follows our Blue Water agents as we buy and sell some of Costa Rica’s most sought coastal properties. Over the years, I have also been featured on 13 episodes of HGTV USA’s House Hunters International, Beachfront Bargain Hunt, and Beach Around the World, as well as on episodes of HGTV Canada’s Live Here, Buy This.
