My life's work is helping the best medical science and care reach everyone in the world, regardless of where they were born or the ability to pay. This mission came growing up in a health care desert that has only gotten worse since, and working in some of the most rural and resource poor places on the planet. We live in a unique time when technology and creative care delivery redesign makes this achievable - IF the companies and products are built hand in hand with the the clinicians and scientists who hold the medical expertise and front line care experience. You need to deeply understand a problem to invent new possibilities. As one of the first clinical product leaders in digital health, I led digital and virtual care products that have reached 10 million patients around the global while coaching teams on how to bring clinician expertise into technology companies and venture investing. I am now an investor putting capital leverage behind the thesis that the expertise and networks of seasoned clinicians are often a missing and deeply needed piece of early stage company building and investor syndicates. I have the privilege to lead the new early stage fund Scrub Capital, a unique model that incorporates the expertise of over 700 clinicians, founders, and operators in our investment decisions and portfolio support. I'm interested in working with people who are clear eyed about the level of suffering and need that exists in our world - and use that as inspiration to think bigger, move faster, and lean into reinventing the profession of medicine. If that sounds like you - please get in touch!
