I am currently a member of the IU Women's Rowing team. Due to my involvement in this sport I have been put in the position to lead others based purely on the idea of leading by example because we are unable to talk during our sport. The scope of my summer internship with Cummins Inc. focuses on the Bus Segment within the HMLD On-Highway section of the Engine Business Unit. I will complete two projects that run the course of my 10 week internship with Cummins Inc. The projects allow me to gain a diverse and wide-breadth experience of the company and corporate work. I am conducting global business meetings, coordinating business trips across North America, conducting in-depth marketing research, and completing a comprehensive competitive analysis for the global bus segment.-Coordinate global business meetings with regional leaders-Developing communication skills through conducting business meetings with regional leaders for the bus segment in China, South Korea, India, North America, Europe and Middle East, Russia, South America, South Africa, Mexico, and South Pacific.-Create interactive excel spreadsheets to express the current competitive pricing situation through conducting a global competitive pricing analysis-Create PowerPoint presentations decks for visual aids for final project presentation-Write a white paper to provide high-level in-depth explanation of the marketing research project I completed-Attended development workshops: OnBoarding, Six Sigma Training, Key Note Speakers, HMLD On-Highway intern develop-Worked cross-functionally to gain guidance from areas such as corporate strategy, Components Business Unit, marketing intelligence, and Pricing Analysts.-Conducted VOC interviews with transit authorities to support my marketing research project-Coordinated meetings with Cummins employees weekly for networking opportunities within the company

-Constructed spreadsheets by working with excel to data mine and design an interactive spreadsheet containing information on Southern Indiana newspapers-Developed a 5-year prototype growth plan for FCA in Southern Indiana that included fundraising and strategies for developing FCA huddles in collaboration with Southern Indiana FCA board and major donors.-Lead media awareness/coverage for Southern Indiana FCA Leadership Camp by creating a YouTube video, Facebook page, and a Google+ account, based on interviews from several past campers.-Presented at Leadership Camp to over 75 campers, adults, volunteers, and FCA staff on Jeremiah 29:11 by sharing my personal testimonial-Counseled 10 sophomore, junior, and senior high school boys during the 4 day duration of camp. I led Bible Studies, Huddle Time, and guided them in their leadership development

Every day, at work, I would put all of my energy in to making sure that each customer who walked through our door would have a superb shopping experience.-developed a very personable character-emphasized the importance of the customer versus the importance of making a sale-created success due to making customers feel important

While working at Nike, I used my athletic expertise to advise customers on potential purchases. I made it my mission each day at work to share the knowledge I had gained through years of playing sports with new athletes who needed helping deciding on the correct equipment.-developed the ability to genuinely help a customer and still market items successfully-built a larger knowledge of athletics and equipment required for each sport-involved myself in the purchasing process to ensure customers had a positive and beneficial shopping experience
