Combining the expertise and experience of the further and higher education sectors in the North East, we are working to make a change in areas with low participation rates to higher education.My role involves developing relationships with school and colleges in the region, to provide bespoke outreach and cater to school needs. I am responsible for managing those relationships, developing delivery plans with schools to raise aspirations and help young people make informed decisions. Each year I was allocated a minimum of 2 6th form colleges and would work with them for a number of sessions. These sessions would cover key concerns when applying to university such as accommodation and student finance. I was expected to have knowledge in all these areas and plan and deliver these sessions.
