Represented parents of special education students in a variety of issues, including eligibility, accommodations, and the students’ right to a free and appropriate public education by advocating for clients at Individualized Education Program meetings, and participating in formal dispute resolutions. Conducted legal research regarding a variety of issues, including violations of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and the Louisiana Children’s Code. Defended youth accused of delinquencies in juvenile court. Ascertained key objectives of case strategy and conducted investigations to collect witness testimonies.
