Leads the University of Louisiana's fundraising efforts, including its $500M Together campaign, to support the mission of the university. Doucet brings more than 25 years of development experience with an emphasis on academic development, including major and principal gifts, donor relations, leadership collaboration, and strategic planning.

Assisted the Dean of Business with coordination and management of two volunteer boards to boost development, recruitment, career placement, and marketing efforts of school. Collaborated with the Office of Development to establish a portfolio of over 120 major gift prospects, advancing relationship with constituents. Selected Projects & Achievements:•Strategically planned and completed 12 out-of-state and four in-state trips, resulting in more than 135 personal visits with prospects to strengthen ties with the University.•Accomplished more than 400 personal contacts with alumni, parents, and friends through correspondence, phone conversations, personal visits, and small events to build awareness, knowledge, and acceptance of University vision.•Closed eight major endowed gifts totaling $1,075,000 and raised a total of $119,813 in annual funds and other restricted gifts in FY 2007.•FY 2008 pipeline included 15 outstanding endowed gift proposals totaling $4,250,000 and three additional planned solicitations of $3,000,000.•Identified, cultivated, solicited, and stewarded a targeted portfolio of priority university prospects in concert with the University’s strategic priorities and objectives as outlined in its $700 million “Promise & Distinction” capital campaign.

Created critical outreach and development infrastructure within institution, necessary to implement research philanthropy initiative by employing prospect identification and cultivation techniques. Consulted with Institute Director and Science Director to form the first-ever external volunteer advisory board and improve communication with community members. Selected Projects & Achievements:•Generated $1.3 million in philanthropic support of research at Main Medical Center in 13-month period, with personal involvement in securing over $810,000.•Established Maine Medical Center’s first targeted foundation fundraising efforts in support of the research enterprise, resulting in over $500,000 in private foundation grants.•Personally visited with major gift and foundation prospects resulting in relationship building with key prospects and individual outright and planned gifts in excess of $170,000.•Produced excitement in the community for Maine Medical Center’s research program by carefully organizing and executing cultivation events resulting in approximately 400 personal contacts.•Prepared first year report and presentation on research philanthropy and community education effort to Maine Medical Center’s Board of Trustees Education and Research Committee.•Served on Research Strategic Plan Steering Committee, Summer Student Research Program Advisory Board, and as Chair of the Public Outreach and Newsletter Committee.

Launched and directed environmental law clinic’s fundraising efforts as well as increased awareness and presence in community. Represented clinic within community as well as coordinated major events. Assured effective operation of organization by managing over 20 staff and volunteers throughout my tenure.Selected Projects & Achievements:•Secured over $418,000 in grant support for community outreach program, third clinic fellow, litigation expenses, and client projects.•Stewarded foundations and submitted project reports to demonstrate Clinic’s accomplishments, achieving 100% grant renewal rate.•Directed Clinic’s national, state, and local public relations efforts, resulting in over 80 media hits per year.•Produced Clinic’s first brochure and its first three annual reports, in addition to conceptualized and produced the revised Citizen Guide to Participation in Environmental Decision Making.
