AR Workshop Cypress has been the ultimate career move as it pulled all my technical, operational, and people management skills into play. AR Workshop is a boutique DIY workshop franchise I brought to the Houston area in January 2019. As a small business owner I have been doing everything required to get this business started, built out, and running smoothly in my 3 years of ownership before, during, and after the pandemic. I have an amazing team of employees who look to me for leadership, structure, and operational support so they can provide the best workshop experience possible for each quest.

I am the founder and Race Director for a series of events in Wake Forest, NC including The Smile Train Triathlon, The Buddy Run 5k benefitting our local area Backpack Buddy program, Run 4 You 5k benefiting CureFA.org in honor of Alison Price and the Sam Hopper Memorial Fund, the Frosty Run 5k/10k and the Mother's Day 5k run.All of these events are unique in that 100% of the registration fees (not just the 'proceeds' but the actual registration fees) were sent to charities. Event costs are covered by our sponsor donations. From 2008-2018 we generated over $450,000 in donations to our 5 charities!Additionally, I was the Race Director for the Tar Heel 10 Miler (www.TarHeel10Miler.com) and the Bull City Race Fest (www.BullCityRaceFest.com), both produced by Endurance Magazine and then Motiv Sports. As Production Manager I supported our Editor and Sales Rep with content collection, magazine layout and organization, and subscription management. Working directly with our Designer as well as our Printer I managed the timeline for the magazine carrying it from content collection through distribution. Towards the latter half of my time with the magazine I was able to provide creative input as to the theme, imagery, and content topics for the magazine.

As Marketing Mechanic, I implemented and supported running events around the globe - from local running events to nationally recognized triathlons and marathons. I worked extensively on a variety of contact management and email platforms including iContact, Constant Contact, Benchmark, MailChimp, and MAPP. I developed standardized processes for content collection, management, and email creation/review with clients. This process because the foundation for a custom on-line Caspio-based database still in use today for campaign and activity tracking.

As Operations Director, I work directly with the municipalities and vendors required to provide a safe, secure, and well-supported race course for both the Tar Heel 10 Miler in Chapel Hill, NC & Bull City Race Fest in Durham, NC. Creating detailed plans, diagrams, and strong relationships is critical to the success (and future successes) of an event. Plenty of documentation accompanies an event of these sizes and that is my speciality! I handle everything from planning to execution from a well designed race course to the flawless execution of the many on-course deliveries (water, port-o-johns), course protection (cones/barricades/police/volunteers/EMS), and course setup (mile marker signs, aid stations).Each event has its own Playbook created. My playbooks have become my 'calling card' for each event - valued by not just the boots-on-the-ground team but also the management helping produce the event. Knowledge transfer can be as easy as passing the playbook (printed or digital) through the team.Along with other tasks such as team management, vendor selection, bill collection & submission - everything is very tactical and process oriented. Throughout all steps of the race production process, we must not forget the ultimate goal is to create an amazing experience for every runner that will encourage them to continue running and return the following year.

Intranet manager supporting SharePoint 2007, upgrading to SharePoint 2013. I maintain our branding and styling through the use of custom master pages, page layouts, and themes along using a combination of HTML, CSS, JQuery, XSL, and javascript to accomplish our site configuration.
