As HR Director for this dynamic organization that was fully integrated into Cornell in 2020, I lead our HR strategy, have built out all HR functional area and am actively refining them, recognizing scalable staffing efficiencies, implementing new HR interventions and exercising agility as my team adapts to emergent business needs.

I partnered with unit managers and staff in resolving employee and labor relations issues, including providing advice and counsel as well as managing the administration and interpretation of labor agreements and Cornell policies. In addition, I worked with our clients in the areas of organizational and job design, recruitment, retention, compensation, performance management and staff development.

Supporting Infrastructure, Properties and Planning, I provided guidance to our clients on HR policy and practice, which included:• Full cycle recruitment facilitation • Leaves administration, temporary employment activity, policy and union contract interpretation, and reporting, metrics and analytics• Intake for employee relations; partnered closely with HR Generalists and Labor Relations• Compensation analysis and position classification• Performance management process• Timely, efficient processing of all HRIS transactions

As part of Global HR, was first point of contact for all remote/overseas employment inquiries for North and South America. • Led efforts to optimize communication and support of my region, including policy comms, retirement and stateside furlough eligibility and planning.• Processed 100 retirements in one month as part of a Voluntary Retirement Incentive (VRI) in 2015.• Received, analyzed and coordinated data to maintain database of employees working internationally; processed all HRIS transactions.

Managed international teams, coordinated comprehensive logistics for and hosted teams of Americans internationally. International outreach to university students by the Dakar Urban Team, mobilizing American volunteers to travel to Senegal, and organizing English programs and special events.

Provided Life Skills education to at-risk teenagers in Broome County as part of the Teen Link project at Mothers and Babies Perinatal Network.• Marketed and promoted services to extend program effectiveness and community involvement. • Prepared curricula, scheduled teaching engagements at schools/after school programs and evaluated and reported results.
