About Rebecca E. Thomas

In my office, a magnet reminds me daily: "We must absolutely do what we love, or we risk doing nothing at all." This ethos fuels my career. I also find inspiration in Cleo Wade's wisdom: "You want love? Be love. You want light? Be light."The common theme throughout my career is relationship management and partnerships. I care about people, access to opportunity, and impact...especially in the realms of education, launching careers, women's empowerment, food security, workforce development, economic justice, inclusion, diversity, mental health advocacy, global business, communications, and branding. My approach is people-centric, and I’m here to serve. I excel in forging individual connections, aligning priorities, and achieving partnership objectives. I always bring diplomacy, a sense of urgency, and enthusiasm for the mission to the workplace. Today I am the Director of Strategic Partnership Management at Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business, one of the nation’s most innovate business schools. Bringing immersive learning experiences to both undergraduate and graduate students is exceptionally rewarding, and there is significant value and ROI for our partners. My background includes managing a $20M+ food security partnership at an international NGO, securing $5.5M support to launch tech careers and transform lives of young adults and the military-connected community across the US, pioneering marketing at a tech start-up during its remarkable growth stage, and gaining diverse experience across industries at a boutique branding agency where I was entrusted with client services. Beyond work, I'm deeply passionate about career coaching, and I am an advocate for mental health in my community. I'm also proudly a member of the LEAD Atlanta Class of 2024.My mission is clear: to make a positive impact through purpose-driven work. Every day I am building relationships, driving impact, and connecting people to resources.
