Outreach: I coordinated outreach to populations typically underserved by the Environmental Learning Center, including lower income and Latino families in Fort Collins. I planned educational programming, organized events, and built partnerships with other community organizations. I coordinated an annual weekend event called "Picnic on the Poudre," which provides families with an opportunity to get outside, explore a local natural area, and discover how easy it is to play in nature. I developed a bilingual English-Spanish booklet that showcased local organizations that provide science and nature education opportunities, which was distributed to all elementary school students in the Poudre School District.Administration: I coordinated many of the daily operations of a non-profit nature center, including communications, marketing, scheduling, and programming. I assisted in the supervision of staff, program planning, and instruction, as well.
