This is a framework that consists of capability, process, data, and messaging models that will provide an industry standard basis for business architecture and SOA efforts. My primary areas of focus were the capability and process models as well as the business glossary.

Consulting engagement with UNIFI Companies in a Business Systems Architect role. Responsibilities included: participating in high priority projects and ensuring that the business long term vision was being considered; researching technology and reporting back to the Vice President of Business Technology; and researching and recommending technology solutions to help enable the business to meet their business objectives. Projects included combined agent and client facing websites, Websphere Portal research and assessment, Business Process Management analysis and preoject requirements planning, AnnuityNet and AFFIRM assessment, Web Content Management Strategy, and participation in the Architecture Review Board.

This position was responsible for providing leadership, strategic guidance, management and delivery of information technology to all areas of the business unit. It required the ability to quickly comprehend root business needs and identify opportunities for technology improvement as well as the ability to proactively drive inefficiencies out of the business. My area of focus included policy administration support for Annuity products, commission systems support, and integration support with the various administration systems. In this position I was responsible for COBOL/CICS programming, specifically responsible for Lockbox and Cash Online Systems. I maintained and enhanced systems per user request and year 2000 testing. I assisted in redesign of Lockbox system to improve efficiency.
