In 2017 I completed a 6 week placement in the marketing and social media department between the months of April and June. The role involved me working predominantly on my own which allowed me to take ownership in developing the RSPCA’s social media accounts, organising a marketing campaign with the aim of re-launching their kid’s club in collaboration with local schools, and to organise their key events throughout the year, one of which being the annual summer and winter fair. In doing that I had to coordinate with numerous stallholders, promotion and advertising of the event, consideration of financial budgets and adhering to all health and safety regulations. Following my placement, I became a member of the Fundraising Committee and worked alongside 5 members of staff to organise Stapeley Grange’s 25th Anniversary. The event was hosted in November of 2019 with over 250 guests in attendance. The evening involved a drinks reception followed by a 3-course meal, entertainment, celebrity speakers and a silent auction. The event in total raised over £14,000.00 all of which went to the rehabilitation of animals and wildlife.
