The State Abortion Access Network (SAAN), now a fiscally sponsored project of the Hopewell Fund, is a ground-up network that will strengthen and support state-based reproductive advocacy nonprofits. By establishing a collaborative platform, SAAN ensures that essential state-based activism can thrive. The purpose of SAAN is to allow member organizations to focus on what they do best – reproductive health, rights, and justice advocacy – while creating field-serving infrastructure that will make state-based abortion advocacy sustainable for the long-term. SAAN will elevate and support its member advocacy organizations by providing financial, programmatic, and operational assistance to facilitate collaboration and fuel a state abortion advocacy movement. This network represents diverse and strategic geographic representation across the Northwest, West, South, Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeast regions. By including states that range from abortion ban to abortion access, SAAN optimizes the knowledge-exchange of state-level organizations. SAAN is a truly unique collaboration, built collectively in the field by state leaders stepping up in this unprecedented moment for abortion access across America.

• Lead the creation of the first regional reproductive freedom organization in the nation fighting to expand abortion access by investing in innovative state-based advocacy, research, education, and organizing.• Oversee the transition from an affiliate of NARAL Pro-Choice America to a fully independent organization, including the strategy, branding, and launch of the new organization on a compressed timeline.• Guide the strategic positioning and strategic plan of Reproductive Equity Now and the Reproductive Equity Now Foundation to improve access to the full range of reproductive health care for New Englanders. • Lead political and legislative team resulting in key victories for reproductive freedom especially as it impacts communities at-risk in the current political era, including passage of a comprehensive legislation repealing decades old anti-choice restrictions, birth control mandate and repeal of a pre-Roe criminal abortion ban. • Oversee strategic communications, increasing digital and earned media capacity, while serving as the organization's primary spokesperson and thought leader.

• Member of Provide’s Management Team, working in collaboration with organizational leaders to ensure programmatic alignment and fiscal health of the organization.• Designed and implemented organization’s Technical Assistance work aimed at safeguarding pro-choice gains made at Provide’s training sites for abortion referrals.• Conceived of and currently oversaw creation of Provide’s Department of Program Development, including creating the strategic vision for the Department by spearheading all department hires, supervising staff, implementing work plans, and managing departmental budget.• Project management for the organizations flagship products, including the Referrals Curriculum for Unintended Pregnancy, production a video to compliment an in-person training intervention, development of a mobile application to simplify making abortion referrals, and development of a Curriculum on Essential Competencies in Unintended Pregnancy Prevention and Care for Nursing Education.• Collaborated extensively with Provide’s Department of Evaluation to constantly access the efficacy of programmatic interventions.

• Directed and coordinated federal policy strategy of the National Abortion Federation (NAF).• Analyzed and tracked federal laws, regulations, and policies that impact the provision of comprehensive reproductive health care while representing the federal policy positions of NAF in the U.S. Congress and with policymakers.• Represented NAF in coalition with other national pro-choice and reproductive justice groups.• Drafted legislative and regulatory proposals and comments, legal memoranda, position statements, reports, talking points, and action alerts.• Conduct legal research relating to NAF operations, programs, and services.

• Member of policy and litigation team challenging laws in Oklahoma, Arizona, North Dakota, and Louisiana restricting a woman’s right to access comprehensive reproductive health care.• Analyzed anti-choice legislation, developed contacts with advocates on the ground, and work as part of a team to forestall legislative attacks on the right to choose.• Conducted legal research regarding ongoing reproductive rights issues and potential litigation.
