After serving the Richmond community (and beyond) as an attorney for 13 years, Rebecca S. Herbig obtained her Masters in Social Work with a concentration in administration, policy, and planning from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2018 and a Certificate in Disability Leadership in 2020. She has now followed one of her passions and advocates for and with individuals with disabilities. She also serves as faculty for the Virginia Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) program at Virginia Commonwealth University, as well as serves as a Field Liaison for the VCU School of Social Work.Rebecca prides herself on attention to detail and fostering strong and successful relationships. She is at her best when she is working to help others. She is passionate, driven, and versatile, with extensive knowledge of counseling, mentoring, community resources, and the legal field. She is a strong proponent of empowering, holistic, trauma-informed, and strengths-based programming to ensure client success, while promoting social change and development.
