Responsible for the new product introduction (NPI) team whose function is to develop and industrialize new products using engineering and technical expertise. - Manage a team of engineers and data administrators responsible for delivering new product trials and product innovations into the factory prior to bulk production- Organisation of team workload, and delegating tasks within the NPI team - Relationship building with internal and external stakeholders - Generating weekly and monthly metrics based on trial performance and presenting to senior management - Driving and implementing continuous improvement projects - Development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all NPI key functions - Coaching and developing individual team members - Decision making based on brand values, quality and customer experience

Management of a portfolio of projects, of varying complexity, using linear project management techniques. Primary responsibility is to ensure that products and services are delivered on time, to- budget, and meet brief requirements. Aspects my role included - - Planning, scheduling and communicating project timelines across the organisational matrix.- Identifying and analysing projects daily to ensure that risks and issues are escalated promptly to Senior Management via RAID logs- Working with external suppliers - Making regular small improvements to day-to-day processes- Generating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training other departments. - Working on continuous improvement projects,. In 2022, led the implementation of the web-based work management and project management software Workfront within the new product introduction (NPI) and new product development (NPD) teams. Requiring process mapping with other workstreams to develop and implement the new system. As-well as, training of all users internally and externally to facilitate the use of the new system.

Within the cosmetics contract manufacturer, Fillcare, my role involved planning, delegating, monitoring and controlling all aspects of new products from concept to launch across five main accounts. Accounts included an American based multinational Company with over $67 billion turnover, and a UK British cosmetic and skincare company focusing on ethically sourced, sustainable and animal friendly products. Key aspects of my role included - • Assisting in the development of new project briefs with customers, evolving ideas and making recommendations. • The successful management of over 200 product changes, including packaging, artwork and formulation changes through phase in – phase outs or direct material switches. • Developed relationships with global brands, suppliers and retail partners. Worked closely with teams including commercial, logistics, supply, regulatory, packaging and product development.

Despite my role being cut short due to an impending liquidation, my role involved managing and developing innovative licensed confectionary product ranges from initial concept through to launch. For instance, I was involved in the development of the ‘Pets 2’ merchandise with the Disney studios in London.

Supporting the Managing Director in managing both an in-house brand, and Global Sport Nutrition brands via private label manufacture. My role was very varied due to the small scale of the company, which provided me with invaluable experience in several different business areas. Examples of my varied role included successfully tendering and presenting a new in-house product to the NHS trust with the view of gaining listings in hospital shops, ensuring nutritional information on packaging is correct, as-well as working with private label brands on new innovative high protein products.

My time at the NHS involved working as a Healthy Lifestyle Support Worker, as part of a new research project called "Best Start" (weight management in pregnancy) within the NHS. My role was to promote healthy weight gain during pregnancy through group sessions. My role was to also assist in the planning and co-ordinating of the Antenatal Best Start programme.
