Local youth complete volunteer/service hours by teaching dogs from a local shelter basic obedience skills, in order to increase the likelihood of adoption.My role as Program Coordinator required me to work one-on-one with referrals, the agencies that sent them to us, and their families. I interviewed families to decipher their needs in order to direct them to the correct program. I also created lesson plans based around general life skills for teens, created and maintained all physical and digital files, and composed a progress report for each participant at the end of the program. Social media management, local government coordination, and event planning were also some of my responsibilities
