A product designer at Xero within the mobile team. Xero is an international accounting software platform with large user bases across New Zealand, Australia, Canada, US, UK, Singapore, Hong Kong and many more countries. The mobile app has an active user base of ~250k so it’s important to thoroughly research, test and iterate each feature, release and fix before going live.

PaperKite is a company that designs and builds apps and has given me the opportunity to work alongside companies such as BP NZ & Australia, Air New Zealand, Rydges, Coca Cola, Rugby New Zealand, Hell Pizza and more. This role involves both UX and UI for mobile solutions.

Starnow is a global company that matches talent with casting agents. My role for the organization was working in the international contact centre.Key responsibilities:- Checking that jobs listed on the site are appropriate- Answering emails – dealing with both talent and casting professionals. - Harvesting work from other organisations and professionals to encourage usage on the StarNow website.

At Designworks I volunteered part time as an intern. This gave me the opportunity to work within a professional design environment, and gave me great insight into the methodologies and day to day goings on of a professional design company. Designworks has worked with clients such as Air New Zealand, Kiwibank and Contact Energy. Key responsibilities: - Working with a team to develop websites, posters and other marketing tools for clients. - Testing websites before launch.- Supporting the iterative process of brainstorming ideas for various projects.- Researching ideas for multiple projects, putting together mood boards and drawing up a range of sketches and concepts. - Assisting with photograph set ups, layouts and photo taking. - General entry level support roles.

I have been contracted for freelance design work for several companies, working with clients such as Kiwibank and Prequal to redesign their company logos, develop brochures and other marketing tasks. These contracts have enabled me to learn the importance of stakeholder management during the process of delivering a service to a client. This is a valuable understanding that I also offer my next employer.

After working for approximately a year as a Contact Centre Specialist, I was asked to join the SJS marketing team, responsible for sourcing more interest from both students and employers for the company. Key responsibilities:- Working with the marketing team to gain likes for students through the SJS Facebook page by working on big campaigns that were very successful; we managed to gain 38 500 likes over an eighteen month period. - Working as a telemarketer to gain interest from previous employers at SJS with both cold calling and sending out an E-Zine. - Actively involved with a series of marketing activities throughout my time at SJS.
