As a member of Hedge Trackers’ team of foreign currency derivative accountants, I specialized in preparing month- and quarter-end journal entries and disclosure tables for cash flow, fair value, net investment and re-measurement hedges, employing Capella Foreign Currency software.

• Responsible for collecting and monitoring approximately 15-20 active legal entities within Tellabs to identify all non-functional currency exposures according to US GAAP accounting standards.
• Managed hedge transactions for all reporting entities following policy guidelines, which exceeded $300M USD in notional value. This included foreign exchange contract initiation and confirmation with global banks.
• Completed all foreign exchange period end close analyses; quarterly earnings release analyses, and FAS157 / FAS133 derivative footnote schedules.
• Prepared worldwide consolidated monthly hedge program P&L results, reconciliation support, validation of results, and commutation of performance metrics.
• Developed, preserved, and controlled foreign exchange policies and guidelines.
• Cultivated and recommended various hedging strategies.

• Accountable for expatriate administration, which included vendor management, assisting local HR groups, employee questions, policy design, building offers, executing moves, calculating tax accruals and assisting.
• Managed the stock option program by administering and coordinating the annual grant, employee communications and questions, system issues, data maintenance and stock option expense preparation.
• Coordinated with many third-party vendors for the expatriate and stock option programs.
• Supported the Executive Compensation Manager on miscellaneous executive compensation projects such as merit increases, bonus payments, annual wealth statements and financial planning programs.
