About Rebecca K. Andersen

I am a builder who is most at home when working with teams to co-create the future through strategic plans and innovative programming with impact in learning, organizational, and leadership development.I love messy problems spaces, having started my career in engineering and now working to further equity in career development and STEM leadership.From the ground-up, I built the Career Development program for students & alumni at the the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Information, now serving >1k students and >2k alumni. We use design thinking to help people connect to value-driven and meaningful work, ensuring students and alumni can launch and advance their tech careers. I also consult on career development for data science undergraduates at UC Berkeley (focus is on transfer students). I am a researcher for equity in STEM Careers, focusing on how to support women in technology leadership roles and having obtained my doctorate in education at UC Davis.     Secured grant funding launching a pilot Leadership Development Program (LDP) for Fall 2021, and secured corporate/departmental funding for subsequent years.
