As head of strategic enablement for Vanguard's Investment Strategy Group, I work with global partners to establish and implement a strategy that enhances and optimizes both the manufacturing and distribution of our thought leadership to further advance our investment brand. In my role I ensure our research agenda drives investor engagement and supports strategic business objectives. In many ways, this is an evolution of my previous role in Vanguard's international division where I championed, enhanced, and protected the global Vanguard brand through C-level and strategic communications and distribution of investment information and thought leadership. From the Americas, across Europe and in Australia, Vanguard is changing the way the world invests to ensure all investors have the best chance for investment success.In my 25+ years with Vanguard, I’ve served in a variety of roles throughout the company, leading cross-functional teams of two and 300, including creative services, large technology programs, analytics teams, international strategy projects, and crisis management. I’m equally comfortable leading free-spirited artists and writers, as well as highly technical IT professionals and data scientists. I spent more than a decade as a company spokesperson in Vanguard’s Public Relations group, evangelizing Vanguard’s brand, products and services with the national press and, as we expanded globally, supported our earned media efforts with news outlets in Europe, Asia and Latin America. I’ve led marketing, client-service, and creative teams as the head of Vanguard Participant Strategy and Development group, providing communications and digital experiences to Vanguard’s 5 million defined contribution plan participants. I’ve also served in the firm’s Corporate Strategy department, was a mutual fund analyst in Vanguard Portfolio Review Department, and began my career fresh out of college in customer service. It's easy to spend more than a quarter-century in mission-driven work!
