Profile bio

About Rebecca Kibbler

I am a conservationist with a huge passion for raising the profile of the plight of British wildlife, and a special interest in invertebrates (especially spiders)!I work as a Conservation Project Officer and am a wildlife education and engagement specialist with a particular passion for working with communities, supporting people to get the most out of their local green spaces, and reconnecting people with nature. My passion for conservation was first sparked when I was 16 when I developed a strong interest in Primatology, but I initially went on to spend almost a decade working in television and theatre with such companies as the BBC, Royal Shakespeare Company, Birmingham Royal Ballet and the Welsh National Opera. I then went on to retrain in African wildlife and conservation before I found my way into British wildlife through a training programme with Warwickshire Wildlife Trust and discovered a passion for British spiders. I now work in the field of education and community development, helping people in highly urbanised areas, especially those high in environmental deprivation, to connect with nature.I am a Fellow of the Zoological Society of London (ZSL), Member of the British Arachnological Society (BAS), and am a Member of the Royal Entomological Society (RES).I have continued to pursue my passion for primatology in my spare time and have recently completed (and I am delighted to say I have passed) my qualification in Primate Studies and am an Associate Member of the Primate Society of Great Britain (PSGB).

Listed skills include Experience Of Both Small And Large Scale Uk Touring Theatre, Working To Budget, Costume Design, Costume Construction, and 37 others.
